El punto de partida con el que iniciamos este artículo relaciona la enseñanza de elementos gramaticales, como los conectores, con la producción textual de escolares de segundo curso de Educación Primaria. En la investigación, que se lleva a cabo en aula, se elige como dispositivo una secuencia didáctica inspirada en el modelo de la escuela de Ginebra. La mediación elegida demuestra que resulta posible y eficaz introducir estos saberes gramaticales desde el inicio de la escolarización y que estos elementos ayudan, junto con el resto de la intervención, a mejorar los textos de los niños. Children who write about wise female protagonists of tales, children who think

[EN] Within the proposed theme, this article has as its overall objective to provide a search that shows children’s texts of the third grade of Childhood Education and second-year-elementary-school students on traditional tales starring wise women. To obtain the texts has been designed and implemented a didactic sequence. The results achieved and the analysis carried out show that the writings made by children are successful texts. Stand out, to conclude, some key aspects of the investigation: the proposal of activities with regard to the school and the approach of different mediations as didactic sequence and literary texts, which become an engine of learning for the children.

The convergence of two complementary agendas motivated collaboration between two universities (in Zambia and Finland) to establish the Centre for the Promotion of Literacy in Sub-Saharan Africa (CAPOLSA), focused on initial literacy learning in indigenous languages. The project’s mandate and activities are closely related to Zambia’s national context of literacy and educational provision, emerging trends in information and communication technology, and the University of Zambia’s institutional context of research and development on literacy, child development, and education.
